Hotel Christiania Teater

Hotel Christiania Teater was so beautifully retro and a throwback to a speakeasy vibe. The reception staff were lovely to assist with one hiccup concerning bedding arrangements within a shared room. The hotel could not be in a better location in Oslo - we were able to access a variety of places to see within short walking distances. Highly recommend!

Excellent service ,and a beutiful hotel. The staff is super friendly and this hotel is a gem in Oslo. Great athmposphere , short distances to every thing. Great hotel that is highly reccomended to visit and I will defenetly come back to this great hotel.

Best hotel in Oslo, unless you go for the high-end expensive ones - but that's another story altogether. In terms of value for money, HCT is very good, nice large rooms (even the compact double rooms are ok for one or two persons), good breakfast (exception is partly the fried eggs under a heat lamp, they tend to become hard), friendly and accommodating staff, very central location, and not insanely expensive, by Oslo standards. One can do a lot worse than staying here, when in Oslo, so it gets my heartfelt recommendations! Just don't fill it up when we need rooms there :-)

Perfectly located in Oslo with good, clean rooms and services. The food is up to par and there is an excellent pizza restaurant Teatro in the hotel. Attractions in the Norwegian capital are near by the hotel. Luckily cheeseburgers are not found in this hotel and the breakfast is tasty and marvelous in my opinion because eggs come in different varieties here.

I chose this hotel because it has a minibar and kettle in the rooms; since I'm staying several days, that would allow me to keep snacks and have coffee without going out. The minibar does keep things cool (unlike the Radisson Blu) and the coffee is good. However, I booked a standard room which was supposed to have view to the courtyard; instead it has a view to the street.... but since they are doing renovations, what I get is a white plastic sheet one meter away from the window blocking the natural light and any view of anything. This morning I attempted to go to the gym, only to realise it is 10 minutes away... I should have checked, but honestly, it didn't occur to me. Apart from that, I couldn't use the shampoo for two days because the pump in the bottle was broken, and had to unscrew the light bulb to turn off one of the bedside lights. The interior is elegant, but I'd rather convenience and comfort.
